This week I will be attending a technology conference in Austin, TX. Today was my first day to attend.
Austin skyline from my hotel room window.
I had so much fun learning new things from teachers from all over Texas. I had an opportunity to learn about new apps, web tools and resources they use to engage students in their classroom and boost academics.
The feeling I got was that as an educator, I need to be learning, teaching and leading the way in this digital age.
I will post more about some of the things I learned over the next few weeks. I got some great ideas of some future tech tutorials.
Today I just want to share a couple of the highlights of my day.
1. I got to meet a blogging friend and mentor face to face for the first time. It was wonderful meeting Sandy from Sweet Integrations. Sandy Cangelosi was TCEA teacher of the year in 1995!

2. One presenter shared this YouTube video at the beginning of her session and I must share it with you. It is about using technology for ordinary paper task.
We are not completely ready to go paperless!
