So as we get closer to Valentine’s Day people start talking about things they love whether it be people or things. So I thought I would share some of the things I love!
- I love to go out to eat.
- I love to stay up late and wake up late.
- I love technology.
- I love to drink coffee.
- I love creating things to sell in my store.
- I love connect with other educators on social media.
- I love Pinterest.
- I am beginning to fall in love with Voxer.
- I love anything with argyle.
- I love to watch movies with my family and pets.
Valentine’s Day and Friendship
In school when we talk about Valentine’s Day we often focus on the friendship side of things. What makes a good friend, characteristics of a good friend and so on. Students also get to share and write about things they love and write friendly Valentine notes to their friends.
Last year I created this writing resource that focuses on the friendship aspect of Valentine’s Day. I included prompts and famous quotes about friendship to get student really thinking about what it really means to be a good friend by helping them identify those characteristics they most seek in a friend themselves.
I’ve added it to the linky and have asked other teachers to add Valentine resources they have created for their own classrooms. I hope you are able to find something engaging and meaningful to use in your classroom with your students.
